Last weekend (August 28th and 29th) was the 10th annual Portland Zine Symposium. It was in a bigger place with more tables than ever (130 tables with over 200 tablers!).

I doubt when people like Tobi Vail and Kathleen Hanna were photocopying their zines that helped build the riot grrrl movement, they ever thought their zines would end up in a museum someday.
